Emmy award winning composer Jeff Beal is a member of a new generation of eclectic composers; fluent in the diverse languages of classical, jazz, contemporary, electronic and world music. Recent film scores include a reunion with actor/director Ed Harris for his western, Appaloosa. Beal and Harris collaborated previously on the Academy Award winning film Pollock, based on the life of artist Jackson Pollock. Beal composed and conducted the orchestral score for actor/director Al Pacino's upcoming film, Wilde Salome and the telefilm Georgia O'Keefe, starring Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons. Beal has collaborated with Academy Award winning director Jessica Yu on several of her feature films, including Protagonist and In the Realms of the Unreal.

Beal has been awarded four Emmys and ten nominations for his television scores to HBO's acclaimed series Rome and Carnivale, USA's series Monk, the Ridley Scott produced miniseries The Company , Steven King's Nightmares and Dreamscapes, and Hallmark Hall of Fame's Loving Leah & The Water Is Wide. He just concluded scoring the final seasons of hit shows Monk and ABC's Ugly Betty, and is now working George Ratcliffe's upcoming feature film Salvation Boulevard, starring Greg Kinear, Ed Harris, and Jennifer Connelly.
